Chez Vivianne piment
About This Spot
Stepping into Chez Vivianne Piment is like entering a cherished corner of Abidjan where time moves at its own gentle rhythm. Tucked along Rue S123 near the Moroccan mosque, this humble yet spirited local eatery invites visitors to slow down and savor the rich textures of Ivorian home cooking. The atmosphere hums quietly with daily life—the murmur of voices, the clatter of plates, and a subtle, lingering warmth that hints at shared meals and familiar faces.
Here, dining is an intimate act woven from tradition and spice. The heart of the experience lies in the beloved placali, served with a range of deeply flavored sauces, each bursting with nuances drawn from fresh, local ingredients like smoked fish, palm juice, and vibrant vegetables. The vibrant heat and complexity of the sauces tell a story beyond the plate—one of family recipes passed down, carefully tended and celebrated.
Though the spot may feel a bit hidden or unmarked to newcomers, those who find their way are rewarded with moments that feel rooted and genuine. The simplicity of the setting—a modest roadside space enlivened by warm conversations and the aroma of slow-cooked dishes—makes it a place where meals become comfort and connection.
Whether arriving early to enjoy a quiet meal before the day’s buzz or settling in for a casual shared plate, Chez Vivianne Piment offers more than food; it offers a small portal into the rhythms and flavors of Côte d’Ivoire life, served with a touch of spirited hospitality.

Pas facile d'accès (aucune indication ni pancarte).. y aller avec quelqu'un qui maîtrise l'endroit. Serveuse quelque peu hautaine mais bon.. Les assiettes valent leur prix, à 5h c'est possible d'y aller se régaler..
